30 Year Celebration

We will be celebrating 30 years of Homesteaders with a sandwich luncheon at the Arvada Elks on September 21 at noon. This event is free to all dues paying members and their spouses.  Although the event is free, we need a head count so we know how much food to plan. Instructions for signing up are in the September Newsletter. Sign up by September 13. Hope to see you there!

Attend the Rocky Flats Retirees Breakfast at the Arvada Elks on the first Thursday of each month. This gathering started many years ago as an informal gathering of a few retirees and has grown to an attendance of 60 to 80 retirees each month. This is not a Homesteaders sponsored event, but Homesteaders has adopted this breakfast as a place to make announcements of current topics of interest to all retirees.  Come meet old friends and get caught up on what your Rocky Flats peers are doing now.  Cost of Breakfast is $7.00 for all-you-can-eat buffet.

Other Retiree Breakfasts

Other retiree gatherings for breakfast include the following:

• Second Tuesday - 8:00 AM at Perkins, 2051 North Main, Longmont
• Third Tuesday - 8 AM  at Denny's, 7945 Wadsworth, Arvada
• Second Thursday - 11 AM at Golden Corral, 1100 Independent Ave, Grand Junction (next to Sam's Club)
• All women who worked at the Rocky Flats Plant are invited to a monthly luncheon at the Country Buffet, 88th & Sheridan, Westminster at 11:30 am.

Rocky Flats Nuclear Workers

The Rocky Flats Nuclear Workers group is open for membership to any former Rocky Flats worker and their families. They meet the last Saturday of every month at Quaker Steak & Lube at 10392 Reed Street, Westminster.
